I decided to read this book, because I would not choose this kind of book if I had the opportunity to pick a book of my choice. Thats why I wanted to read this one, to see if I would still like it. I think this book might teach me a thing or two about human nature, and people in general.
After reading the first couple of chapters I have noticed that the author William Golding describes the setting, as well as the characters, beautifully. I appreciate it when the author of a book makes it easy for the reader to imagine and picture for themselves, what the author wanted them to, while reading. He does use some words that are very british, which I am not too familiar with.
My favorite character so far has to be Piggy. I think the other boys underestimate him, and his intelligence. During the first chapters he is not as respected as the character called Ralph, because Ralph has the ability to speak for himself with great belief in what he is talking about. I do think that Piggy will be recognized for his intelligence later on in the book.
I have to admit that I think the first chapters were pretty boring, but I'm at a point in the book where I think something exciting is about to happen. I'm just going to have to keep reading and find out!

Good writing June :) Your book sounds fun :) I had the same issue with my book (you know, boring at the beginning). However good books are usually boring at the beginning :) Keep up the good work :)
SvarSlettyes, i agree. But now that I've read more, it is actually a lot better. Hope we get to see the movie!
