Lord of the flies :)

I chose to read Lord of the Flies mainly because this was the easiest book to get a hold of. The book was a bit slow in the beginning, but as I got further into the book it got more interesting. The author, William Golding, is great at describing the situation, the characters and the nature.
In the beginning of the book we meet Ralph and an overweight boy called "Piggy". After a while we also meet Jack Merridew and his choir, when Ralph blows in something called a conch. There are a lot more young boys at this deserted island, but these are the main characters we have gotten to know so far.
As I said the story takes place in a deserted island, with no adult supervision. The boys need to find a way to survive on their own. 3 of the boys claimed to the top of the mountain to get a look at the entire Island. Later all of the boys gathered in the forest and let a fire so that if a boat or a plane went by they would see the smoke. The overweight boy called "Piggy" is kind of left out. He is not really a part of the group and is constantly bullied. Jack and Ralph is the leaders.
I look forward to see how the story ends and if they get off the Island. I also hope the book will tell me what happened on the plane and why it crashed.
