On Wednesday I wrote how I appreciated how the author describes the setting very detailed. Well, now it has started to bother me. In one page there might be a couple of lines that are not describing the nature, the sounds, the beach or other things that become a little boring to read about after a while. In a different book alot could have happened in 3 chapters, but not in this book. That is why there is not that much to say about the first chapters.
Anyhow, the boys have been on the island for a while now, and they have still not been rescued. Even though we don't get to know exactly how long, I would say that in the beginning of chapter 3, they've been there for a about 3 weeks or so. How long do you guys think they've been there for in chapter 3? I think you can tell by the descrption of the boys, and how far they have come with building stuff on the island.
There has happened a few exciting things in the book so far though. We get to know more about the monsters, or "the beasties". It seems like the younger boys are convinced that there are beasts and snakes on the island, and supposedly one of them saw a snake. The older boys, Jack, Simon and Ralph denies this though. I think they're afraid of the thought that this island may not be the paradise that they want it to be.

Well, is there a beast, or is it just in their imagination do you think? Rembeber this is not "Lost" ;)
SvarSlettHeheh.. I was thinking the same thing, sounded a lot like "Lost". Anyhow maybe their getting paranoid? Seems like they'd been on the island for a while and maybe they are panicking? I know I could (hahah). Well, can't wait for your next post, your book sounds exciting. And by the way, my author is also ex paling every little detail... gotta "love" it..
