I decided to read”The lord of the flies” because that was the only book I have heard about, and I had no clue about the other books. I also think that “The lord of the flies” has an interesting theme and I can learn something of this book. To me it’s very important that I get some new impressions after finishing a book and I think this book will. I am very excited to read in class because I am a person that loves to read and I wished I could read more than I do, and this project gives me the opportunity.
After reading the 2 first chapters I got to know some of the characters. The main person Ralph seems very sensible, smart and a natural leader. The other boys seem to look up to him and give him respect. They nominate him as the leader. Ralph get to know a fat boy called “Piggy” who gets very attached to him. Piggy is different from the others because he looks fat and wears classes; something the other boys finds amusing. There is another boy who is really dominant and his name is Jack. It seems like he doesn’t like Piggy and Ralph that much because they took control over the situation. Ralph noticed that Jack got irritating and said to him that he could be the leader of the hunter group. Jack has some forcible thoughts, which I think will be vital later in the book.
I agree! We never have time to read. School is always in the way. Hahah!

SvarSlettWhat did you really think of it? I don't remember much from it, but what i do remember is Piggy. He was so cute, haha!:) If you don't remember how Piggy looks, how is he portrayed in the book? And how do you picture him?

SvarSlettThere is no doubt, Piggy is the cutest character! I picture him with a round face, pink cheeks, and glasses. And of course he is fat, but he is fat in a cute way and that fits his character.
Yes, I remember we saw that movie. We saw the American movie from 1990, which I did not like because it’s so different from the book, and the act is weird, but that’s just my opinion. I hope we get the chance to see the other version at school :)
