Half way there

I've read over half the book by now and I finally found the book more interesting. The beast is "spotted" by two of the boys, Sam and David, and all of the boys gathered for another assembly. They are all scared, and I can feel the fear of the boys. The author is very good at describing the situation. The boys went to a place on the island where no one have been before to hunt the beast. They failed at finding him.
After the last assembly the boys haven't got more diseplined then before. They still play, and spend their time hunting for pigs. The fact that Sam and David "spotted" the beast have made them all scared, and Ralph and Jack is very eager to find it and kill it.
It took me a while to see that this story is a parallel to the scociety in the "real" world at that time. You could just imagine yourself what would happend if we let young boys rule the world or a scociety for that mather. The beast seem to me not to be real, but we all have a "beast" in our lives. Something that makes you scared. I'm looking forward to see how it ends. If it gets more exiting now, I will probably finish the book this weekend.
